Brighton & Hove faces serious housing challenges—high costs, limited affordable homes, and rising homelessness. At Care for our City, we run the Friends First housing, mentoring, and work-readiness programme to respond to this need. With over a decade of experience, we partner with socially minded property owners and investors to provide safe, supported housing for vulnerable local adults. We manage properties, connect tenants, and train volunteer mentors from local churches. Residents engage in volunteering, training, or employment. We also work with businesses to offer real opportunities. Together, we reduce homelessness, isolation, and unemployment—offering people a fresh start and renewed hope.
